Another blogging success story; making 100$ in 30 days with a new blog.
Upstartblogger.com, a nice domain as well I must say, wrote a nice article, featuring ‘25 steps to launching your blog and making 100$ in 30 days‘, a quite interesting article for people who are looking for ways to make profit blogging.
While I wrote quite a bit about PayPerPost in the past, which is a great way to make money blogging, Upstartblogger is taking another approach. The first 12 steps or so are pretty straightforward and explaining how to set up your blog.
Perhaps the most important point of this list is of course the following one, if you don’t follow it you can still be succesful, but it wont be easy – people like frequencies.
12. Post Regularly
Whether you plan on posting every day or a couple of times a week, determine a posting schedule and stick with it. When you post regularly, you’ll notice a slow, but steady increase in your traffic and subscriptions.
The points twelve up to twentytwo cover the promotion and backlink generation of your weblog – very important. One of the tips I’ve been using a lot already is that you should post a lot on blogs and forums, including your website domain name. This tactic has helped me with up to 500 backlinks from vBulletin-related forums, which I used to frequent a lot before of my other website, Otfans.net.
After number twentytwo his approach differs a lot from mine though; instead of submitting your site to webpages such as PayPerPost or LoudLaunch Upstartblogger suggests advertisements and referral marketing. This is a pretty nice way to monetize your weblog as well, but it requires some ’skill’ in matching the right advertisements and not being banned with Google Adsense – a long story.
As I tried to point out already, advertisements are a very nice way to make money on your website or weblog, but try not to depend on them as you might one day turn out to be unlucky because some person that didn’t like you spammed your advertisements with clicks…
