Another paid posting website spotted; LoudLaunch
While I’ve been posting for PayPerPost for quite a while now, almost two months already, it’s never wrong to look out for alternatives as you never know what might happen with it. For that reason I’ve been browsing on the web some and I came across a PPP-’rival’, named LoudLaunch.
You almost can’t compare the two websites by the looks; the websites look completely different, the usage of LoudLaunch is pretty much the same as you might be used to with PP. There are some convenient differences though, LoudLaunch is still a relatively small websites so when you submit your weblog it’ll be reviewed within 24 hours, in addition to that the rules for applying aren’t as strict as the ones of sites such as PPP or ReviewME.
The process of posting is pretty much the same, some nice differences are there though, instead of the 30 minutes you’ve got to make up the post at PPP, you’ll have 2 hours the time to do so with LL, this will give you quite some time to write something decent and perhaps even in-depth, depending on who you’re posting for. LoudLaunch is a bit more strict than PayPerPost with disclosure though, it’s required to put their logo beneath every most you make for them. This also comes with a nice thing though, unlike with PPP, advertisers cannot force bloggers to write positively about them, which gives you more freedom to keep your statements honest and credible towards your visitors as well as the advertiser.
Sadly there are also some downsides; LL is pretty small, I’ve only seen about five or six opportunities I’m eligable to post for since LL is both small and a bit more ‘private’, things you can’t post stay hidden. I’d personally also like having a corporate blog or forum on their website, right now the only information you’re supplied with is visible when you login, small bits of information that don’t quite seem to change a lot. Another possibly negative thing is that the prices seem to be ‘fixed’ depending on how high ranked your weblog is. With Leftblank I can only see 5$ and $7,50 opportunities, while on PayPerPost it’s often $10 or more – the freedom and time you get do compensate for this quite a lot though, but it could be better.
In addition to these points; their ‘FAQ’ isn’t very useful, the questions are only answered barely and a lot of questions do not have matching answers, which makes it even harder to find the right things; I still don’t know if it’s required to fill in the tax ID in order to get paid if you’re not located in the US, as it did allow me to register and post. Hopefully this will be better, they claim to make payments bi-weekly, which does make it interesting compared to PayPerPost’s 30-day wait before you see any money. I’ll keep you posted!
