BlackBerry’s new pearl, the 8800
I bet just about everyone knows BlackBerry is quite a big supplier of mobile phones, or actually, more of PDA’s with a phone function. In fact, they’re so big, most emergency services and businessman use this highly popular brand. The power of the BlackBerrys surely isn’t the price though, these phones are very expensive, however, for the price you pay you do get a whole lot of high-tech features.
A couple of these features are just about the same as you’d have on a laptop, such as email, browsing over wifi, GRPS, WAP or EGDE. Another big ‘pro’ compared to a ‘normal’ phone or smartphone is that blackberries almost all come with a somewhat shrinked QWERTY keyboard, allowing you to input data quickly without having to go through the trouble of hitting every button three times.
This new model however, the 8800 seems to offer a whole new perspective to the brand. These smartphones come with GPS, ‘BlackBerry Maps’ – a TomTom-like program for navigation, a trackball instead of joystick, voice activated calls and a lot more. Of course you’ll also want to keep your BlackBerry safe as good as you can – these beauties often cost no less than $500 -, to do so there are various websites that offer third party accessories available who offer better prices than the ‘real deal, a nice thing to look at.
