Cool new digital watches
We all know about those ugly looking digital quartz watches which were popular in the seventies and eighties. Today, we consider them ugly because most of us associate LCD screens with a wide array of cheap products, like simple calculators and (pen lite powered) mp3-players. In other words, it’s lost its ‘Cool-factor’.
However, new types of ‘digital’ watches are on the market. Diesel for example, has recently introduced a watch with an OLED display, which looks smoother and has a black background upon which the is time displayed in blue. Instead of the black on ‘white’ (it really is grey) of LCD displays. The watch comes with either a metal or a leather band, costing about 150$ and 135$ respectively.
On top of that; you can be seen with this watch, or that’s what I think of it. Well, At least it looks better than the quartz watches from the digital stone-age, back when computers with 512k memory were considered high-tech…
