Easy way of converting media files from format to format

trackimgWith the tons of different file formats on the web today, even just for audio there are at least ten used formats, it’s almost inevitable to come across some nice music or movie that wont play on your favorite media player or software. When this happens you can of course simply discard the file and look for another version of it somewhere else but that isn’t ideal.

In order to still be able to play the file you can use a converter. You can find tons of them on the web these days, the one being even more specific or fixed to one format than another. A tool that does seem quite interesting is ‘Digital Media Converter‘ (trial version available as well!), according to the website it is capable of converting a whole lot of files into different formats, ranging from mp3 to wma, till avi and mpeg.

DMC box

But, as if we’re in a huge Tell-Sell advertisements, that’s not it! Using DMC you can also convert fragments of any video file into an audio file, allowing you to listen to that perfect theme song of your favorite DVD, or playing a nice song from a YouTube movie on your iPod or other media player (on your own risk of course).

Another feature I’ve read in the feature list is that it’ll also help you to convert a DVD from NTSC (US) and PAL (rest of the world) and vica versa, allowing you to watch basically every DVD you can find on the web. This might not be too legal in the United States, but luckily it is no problem in most parts of Europe, as long as it’s for personal usage; besides that, you can also use it to covert your own shot movies and such, making the application perfectly file.
