Eek, I’m making the same mistake as before again!
In the past I made many mistakes, just like basically everyone who starts with something new, no matter if it’s digital or not. One of my biggest mistakes was not blogging frequently enough to bother the visitors of my website enough to keep them coming back!
It’s fairly easy to spot that kind of trouble, especially when you’re using a traffic analyzer for your logs (often provided by your web host) or a third party tool such as Google Analytics. Simply take a look at the graphs that show the amount of returning visitors over time for your website; is it low and used to be high? You’re probably doing a great job attracting visitors and keeping them returning. Is it still a (very) high percentage? You’re either receiving the wrong type of visitors, or your content just isn’t interesting enough.
The solution for this problem is of course simple; keep on blogging. Pick a pace, and stick with it. While I’ve skipped that a bit lately; went on a two-week vacation without prepping enough posts to fill it up and going slowly afterwards – I’m really going to try to get myself back into the habit again, after all blogging is a nice and profitable thing to do!
