I’m afraid it’s going to be a busy pre-weekend
It’s only wednesday and I’m already thinking about the weekend and possible gaps in my schedule… Not quite the right attitude – I suppose – but I’m also a bit lazy, just like most of the people. Anyhow, this means not much time for blogging nor browsing, not too great either if you ask me.
I’ve got a small, or actually super, sized update or refresh planned for Leftblank.nl this weekend. Instead of using the good old MODx I’ve been with for quite a while already, I’ll be porting and moving my blog to Wordpress. You might thing ‘huh, why that?’, well I’ve got to be honest; I don’t like to do this. I simply love MODx for its customizability and easy editing of templates, pages and more. However, it’s a CMS and not a blogging system. What this means? Well, it’s lacking decent pingback, update and trackback modules, which doesn’t make the blogging a lot easier.
I’ll keep you posted with the ins & outs as well as the plugins and modules I’ll be using, hopefully it’ll be useful to some who’d like to switch as well.
