Is the new Nano Apple’s cheapest iPod so far?

When Apple announced their new line of iPods almost three weeks ago, they didn’t look really cheap at all, in fact, they featured bigger screens, more flash capacity than ever and a nearly full aluminum body, finally being somewhat scratch proof on the front side.

However, according to Gizmodo, the new iPod Nano has the lowest build cost and the highest profit margin so far. According to one of their sources, Apple has been shuffling their manufacturers and parts around some, resulting in a total cost of only $82,85 for the 8GB model, that’s a huge profit margin!
