Launchy receives a little update – v1.25 released

It’s not exactly blogging or internet related, but still an amazing little application; Launchy! Everyone who has been working with a Macintosh lately knows the usefulness of ‘Quicksilver’, an application that will let you hit a command, type in a couple of characters and instantly open the applications or documents found, all in a matter of seconds.

Actually it’s so useful even the lads at Microsoft have decided to copy it and add it into Vista; when hitting ’start’ you’ll now be able to search for applications on your system. DEspite this useful feature it’s not quite enough reason to switch to vista just yet, so for that we’ve got a nice little tool.

Launchy, which is now at version number 1.25, will let you assign a key combination to launch the good looking Launchy ‘command line’, where you can easily type in a couple of words and select the correct application or file from the list shown. In case you’re not convinced, you should surely take a look at the screenshot tour on LifeHacker, showing pretty much what Launchy is capable of.
