Playing with Blogsvertise: Ink and toner e-store

Despite my positive experiences with the blogging services I use, I’m always looking for new options; don’t become dependent of one (uncertain) source of income. Blogsvertise is one of those alternatives, it’s still relatively young and suffers from a lack of advertisers right now, it seems. Even though there aren’t too many advertisers around, I did get lucky today and got appointed an opportunity, about ink and toner.

The lucky subject of this article is ‘Inkers‘, a young and Yahoo powered e-store, offering the ‘oh so popular’ computer related things: ink! While I think pretty much like every two out of three households in the Western world are equipped with printers, using either ink or toner, creating a pretty big market.

Sadly – for Inkers – this market appears to be pretty filled, or more to say, stiffed to the top – there are lots of sites selling brand free ink as well as refill sets for your own ink or toner cartridges. The guys of Inkers do seem to be trying hard to convince users to choose them though, mainly by offering more service.

A nice example of that is their 1-year ‘collect & return’ guarantee if it turns out their goods aren’t working as intended. Another thing is the, more common, ‘60 days money back’ guarantee, which many shops tend to offer but does seem interesting; you never know when it might come in handy. The drawback of all of this is that the shop is located in the US, and only ships to the US and Jamaica, making it uninteresting for the rest of the world; too bad, their prices seem nice.
