SecureZIP – A worthy ZIP alternative?
While generally speaking I’m no fan of changes, not in homes, not in rooms and definitely not in terms of software, the company ‘SecureZIP’ is now offering a pretty interesting limited download offer. Their ZIP-application will allow you to do much of the same other zip programs do.
However, as the company also comes with the slogan “SecureZIP – The next generation of ZIP”, it does offer some other pretty interesting stuff. That includes easy integration in Outlook, allowing you to send files directly without having to manually encode them into ZIP. Another interesting feature is the option to encrypt the files, making sure your data will be transfered or stored perfectly safe.
I’m downloading their application as I write this as I’m pretty curious about the performance and functionality compared to the good old things such as Windows’ compressed folders or other ZIP programs. Theres one major reason to do it; you’ll get a free license right now, whereas it’d normally be pretty expensive – worth the shot!
