Some fun on the web – just like old times
After todays boring, hot and busy day I decided to do some old time browsing again. When I was a younger kid browsing on the web, usually I’d look for sites with funny pictures, jokes and other humorous content, simply because I didn’t know many other purposes for browsing at that moment; why look for news when it’s in the paper?
Sadly I noticed a lot of these websites are still somewhat stuck around the beginning of this millennium; no ‘dynamic’ content, somewhat ugly combinations of colors and ancient ways of voting for jokes. I haven’t seen many sites yet that will work as some Digg-clone, allowing you to send jokes in and rate them or others’, perhaps that’s quite a gap in the market.
The good thing is that fun doesn’t seem to have changed much, you can still find a lot of old and golden jokes on the web, no matter what the pages look like. The only ones I can’t remember from the past are the cheap ‘Yo mama‘ jokes – things I didn’t quite miss in the past, but well, people get older.
