The top 10 underrated web 2.0 sites
The web 2.0 is still growing strong, new websites seem to pop up every day with the famous ‘web 2.0′ looks (lots of whitespace, tons of shadows, rounded corners on everything), but still, according to Tagoon, a lot of these websites are actually underrated. Because of this the author, tag00n has written an article listing most of these sites (according to the article he tried out more than 500). A short overview of the top 10:
- Reddit.com
- Linkfilter.net
- Shoutwire.com
- Flurl.com
- Ma.gnolia.com
- Blinkbits.com
- Simpy.com
- StumbleUpon.com
- Blogmemes.com
- Squidoo.com
While I only knew a couple of these sites, such as StumbleUpon, Reddit and Magnolia – I think these are also the only useful ones on the list. Take for example number 7, I’ll quote the description given; ‘It allows you to store and search your bookmarks and other people’s bookmarks’. It could be just me, but what is the additional value of this over the sites such as Reddit, Del.icio.us and Magnolia? I’m not sure yet, but I guess that time will tell, most of these sites still have a small user base and might grow a lot in the near future…
